Why Adjust the Rotary Kiln Flame?

As the core equipment for calcining cement, lime and other materials, rotary kiln needs fire in the process of equipment calcination. The intensity of flame is directly related to the quality of finished products. So how to adjust the flame of rotary kiln in daily operation?

Different flame shapes will also have different effects on material calcination. Hongke heavy industry suggests that you can start from the following two points:

1. Length adjustment

It can roughly judge whether the equipment has reached its ideal working state according to the length of the flame of the rotary kiln. When calcining materials in the rotary kiln, the cooperation of air and coal should be appropriate. At this time, the flame can be complete and smooth without rinsing the kiln skin. When there is a lot of coal and the primary air is small, the flame will turn red and the fire head is black. The specific performance is that the flame is long and thick, soft and weak, the fire is slow, and the combustion is incomplete. In serious cases, the coal particles will fall, and even the pulverized coal will fall out of the coal nozzle, and a blue flame will appear on the surface of the clinker. If the flame is long and weak and retracts continuously, it indicates that the exhaust air is large; On the contrary, the flame is short and concentrated, and in serious cases, the kiln is muddy, and the cooling zone and fire point are full of white gas, which indicates that the exhaust is small. The flame length of rotary kiln burner is directly proportional to its power and pressure within a certain range. If it is necessary to increase the flame, the gas pressure can be increased, and vice versa.

2. Shape adjustment

The flame shape of rotary kiln is mainly adjusted by the reasonable matching of internal flow air and external flow air. At present, most domestic precalciner kilns use three air channel or four air channel burners. Therefore, the outflow wind speed should be appropriately increased, so that the firing zone can be controlled to be a little longer, so as to facilitate the firing of fine and uniform plastic particles. If the fuel quality is poor and the combustion speed is slow, increase the internal flow air and external flow air appropriately; If the fuel quality is good or the kiln skin is too thin and the kiln body temperature is high, it is necessary to lengthen the flame, increase the external flow air and increase the internal flow air. However, the external air volume and internal air volume should be kept appropriate, and the fire watching task is very key in the work of zinc oxide rotary kiln.

An ideal flame must ensure a high degree of heat exchange over the whole flame length without simple overheating The rotary kiln requires directional hard flame, that is, the flame in the kiln is hard and powerful when viewed from the kiln head, and the flame extends strongly to the kiln tail, rather than weak, floating or divergent in the kiln. Therefore, the operator must pay attention in daily operation.
