Causes for Blockage of Rotary Kiln

Rotary kiln equipment is a common type of industrial kiln, which is widely used and operates stably. However, in use, improper use sometimes brings some problems to the kiln, such as furnace blockage. Many users do not know how to solve the problem. To solve this problem, we should first understand the cause of the problem.

1. Porcelain roller contaminated

The pollution of ceramic roller of rotary kiln is mainly manifested in the oil stained porcelain roller, which forms pimples of different sizes on the ceramic roller. Due to improper control of glaze application, many glaze drops stick on the bottom surface of the products, which will cause the glaze drops to soften and stick to the roller during high temperature calcination, resulting in different roller diameters, so that the products running on the ceramic roller are subject to certain resistance, and the rear products can not move forward normally, resulting in irregular arrangement and overlap of products. When the overlapped products exceed the softening point of the high temperature load, the ceramic roller will break and the kiln will be blocked.

2. Open firing

Kiln firing is continuous. If the brick is not stable, it will make the products in the kiln cover the porcelain roller to form a gap, which will cause the kiln pressure to be unstable and the temperature fluctuate greatly, which will cause the products to deform easily and block the products.

3. The "swing" running time of brick in kiln is too long

The control system of kiln adopts interlock automatic control. In case of power failure or mechanical equipment failure, the movement state of all rollers will be automatically changed to the swing state based on power frequency, so that the products will move back and forth in the kiln, and the products will deform due to the long calcination time and cause blockage of the rotary kiln.

4. The firing temperature and atmosphere are unreasonable

The temperature regulation of rotary kiln is to divide the burner into several groups in the pre heating zone and firing zone, and control them respectively according to the upper and lower rows of porcelain rollers. The cooling belt is controlled by controlling the cooling air volume. In the process of adjusting the firing temperature, if the temperature of the upper part of the ceramic roller is much higher than that of the lower part, the products will have concave deformation; on the contrary, convex deformation will occur. The former is more likely to cause the products to stick together or overlap before and after the production, while the latter is easy to embed between the rollers, break the rollers and cause blockage. If the cooling belt is not controlled properly, the products will be cracked by wind, and the broken products will be embedded between the rollers, which may also cause blockage. In addition, when the atmosphere system is not adjusted properly, the products will deform and blister during the firing process, resulting in the stacking of products and furnace blockage.

5. The pad of porcelain roller is loose

The loose pad and convex deformation of the ceramic roller will make the roller not rotate in the same plane, which will cause the products to stack or insert between the rollers, resulting in furnace blockage.

6. Uneven arrangement of bricks at kiln head

If the bricks in the kiln head are not arranged in order, the products will collide with the kiln body, resulting in deformation or overlap of the products, which will seriously block the kiln.

Through the summary of the above reasons for the blockage of the rotary kiln, it is not difficult to find that most of the reasons are related to improper operation. Therefore, the operation should be carried out in strict accordance with the operation specifications, and the factors such as time and temperature should be well controlled.
