Classification of Rotary Kilns

1、 According to the shape, it can be divided into variable diameter and diameter rotary kiln:

1. Reducing

A kiln with a change in diameter. Generally, the diameter changes about 30 cm before and after. Compared with the traditional path kiln, it has the advantages of energy saving and high yield, but the processing of the variable diameter kiln is more difficult than that of the traditional path kiln. More stringent requirements for equipment.

2. Drift diameter

It's a kiln with the same diameter in front and back. Our common kiln type was invented by German Dietz in 1883. After more than 100 years of evolution, kilns have become general equipment. It has better effect and higher output than traditional shaft kiln. The process is simple, but it consumes more energy than the variable diameter rotary kiln.

2、 According to the use: cement, ceramsite sand, kaolin and lime kiln.

3、 According to the energy supply effect: gas, coal, mixed fuel kiln.

4、 According to the way of feeding: according to whether the material into the kiln has water, it can be divided into dry process and wet process rotary kiln. The wet kiln can be divided into inflow method and injection method. In addition to the dry process kiln, there is also a semi dry process which makes the raw meal into the kiln after heating and forging.

5、 According to kiln type: according to the geometric shape of the cylinder, it can be divided into vertical kiln, cold end expansion kiln, firing belt expansion kiln and two end expansion kiln.

6、 According to the heating mode: there are internal and external heat kilns, and the external heat kilns are indirectly heated. The materials to be treated are highly toxic or materials requiring high flue gas concentration and high product purity.
